Hero Academy was started in 2016 for the purpose of bringing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to the children of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. We are a registered 501(c)(3) in the United States and equal asociación de beneficencia filing in Costa Rica. We organize and hold BJJ retreats in order to maintain our academy in Costa Rica where we are currently training over 150 local and expat children for free or very low cost for those that can afford it. We also provide uniforms, school supplies, healthy food, clothing/basic needs and now disaster relief and food bank services for the surrounding Guanacaste area.
